Miss you friends...

Hi

It is quite a long time that I posted about my life's happenings and today I'm gonna talk about this.

Well... The month of March is about to end. There will be new year celebration (new financial year) in couple of days for most of the finance people out there. I hope this new year brings more happiness to all the people and their finances grow more strong. The month of March was quite hectic and I just managed to let it pass away. I'm sorry that I could not find much time to post on my blog this month. But there is always an excuse for every sorry said, and I have two actually. First, the most obvious and natural is the lack of time and second, the lack of topics for the posts. I'll try to update this space as frequently as I can.

While most of my friends are busy preparing for their CA Final exams which are going to start in the first week of May, others are busy in their offices like me. There were times when we used to meet almost daily and now when I recall those moments I feel very alone. Sometimes I smile alone when some funny incident strikes back to the walls of my mind. I think that's the best thing about friendship. You are never alone even when your friends are not with you at the moment. But, yes, the world is round and we will keep meeting again and again. Miss you all my friends.... And thanks for making the memories....

Singing off with a friendship quote taking birth in my mind- There is no end to the sea I see, and we will be friends till we can be.

Bye for now.

Together we were...

when the time i recall back...
and i realize what i lack...
it makes me insomniac...
together we fought, together we played...
together were all the memories we shared...
the good and the bad times we had...
even when no times we had...
we were together like being mad...
living alone is living dead...
together we were like pearls in thread...
i have no clue what made us apart...
i wonder if we can again start...
but life what they call it strange...
has it's own rules we can't change...
we have what we don't like...
we lose what we want to hold tight...
i wish someday we meet in this journey again...
the love that was lost i want to regain...

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari

Hi Folks

We all want that our life should move in the direction we show to it. But the problem is that we can't even control our mind, body and soul then how can we control our whole life. The life moves where these three managers asks it to lead. And these three managers have no leader above them. So they try to play with our lives like an amateur dancer dances in the absence of an audience. To control our lives one first need to control his mind, body and soul. You know what, people are very good managers, bosses and leaders in the outer world but when it comes to their own selves, their managerial and controlling skills doesn't seem like helping them.

Well... It's been a long time since I read any motivational or personal development kind of book and let me tell you that the book I read this time was nothing less than awesome, commendable and simply great. Some books are meant to be tasted, some books are meant to be chewed and, finally, some books are meant to be swallowed whole (this line appears in the book I'm going to talk about). The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, written by Robin S. Sharma, a renowned public speaker and leadership guru, is a book which should be swallowed whole. This book can change the life of a person personally, professionally, physically and spiritually provided one regularly applies the principles and techniques enumerated in the book. Don't worry about the techniques they are much simpler than expected and can be applied without much mental and physical efforts.

The book is about the story of a hot-shot millionaire lawyer who is obsessive about his work. It ruins his professional as well personal life. His health decreases constantly and finally the massive heart attack right in the packed courtyard becomes his wake up call. After recovering from the attack the lawyer (Julian Mantle) sells off all his material belongings including his bright red Ferrari. He moves to the east (India) to learn the art of happy living. There he meets the monks living high in the Himalayas. In the company of these monks the Julian Mantle learns the ancient principles and techniques for happy and healthy living which work for him. And then he again returns to west to meet his old professional colleague and the most close friend John. He shares his experience with John and tells him how he transformed.

I want to share some of the things which are mentioned in the book and may be applied in our life:

(i) Still for some time a day. It means one should observe silence each day even for a small amount of time. By this, it doesn't mean only verbal silence but also the mental silence i.e. to not to think even. Just keep your mind relax. It will give a new energy to your mind, body and soul. Don't say that you don't have time to stop for gas because you are too busy driving. Eventually it will catch up with you.
(ii) Think positive. Every time when a negative thought tries to enter the gates of your mind just be attentive and think the opposite. This technique is called the Opposition Thinking.
(iii) Every day imagine what you want to be in your life. Be it a perfect husband, a perfect leader, a businessman or anything else. Just see yourself where you want to be. Your imagination becomes your reality ultimately.
(iv) Don't fear dear. Just do the things you fear to do. Have you ever tried to run against the train. Well... don't try this. :-)
(v) Utilize your time effectively. Savor it. Don't waste it in doing the unnecessary things. Don't keep checking your cell phone for any possible missed calls or checking the junk mails or stuff like that. Rather you can do better things with the available time.
(vi) Have the courage to say 'no'. It is not necessary to take calls every time or say yes for every weekend party. If you respect yourself people will respect you too.
(vii) Maintain the deathbed mentality. By this, the book emphasizes to live in the present. Live every moment of your life. Take it as a gift from God and thank Him for every second of every hour of every day of your life.
(viii) Never sacrifice happiness for achievement. Don't run to achieve the things you don't like to do. Slow down and enjoy the things which gives you happiness.
(ix) Be simple, speak the words that soothe others, listen to good music.
(x) Wake up with the sun. Early awakening is the goal that most people try to achieve and I'm not the exception. But everyday I fail to accomplish the objective. The habit of early awakening can actually be very rewarding for you. It saves the time, it keeps us healthy, we can do the things which we couldn't do because of less time in our day schedule.

The book is worth giving a read. The author Robin Sharma has written many best selling personal development books like The Greatness Guide, Mega Living, Who Will Cry When You Die and many more apart from The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. All his books are best sellers. Try anyone and believe me you will not be disappointed.

Point to ponder: Friends, I want to suggest that one should read daily. Cultivate the habit of reading in you. Reading for 30 minutes a day can improve your life in every sphere. A book is a best friend and this holds good even now. Read good books apart from your course material. Why to waste time in watching daily soaps or fast running cricket match between alien countries or chatting on the net with a person we don't even know. When you start reading you will find that it is your once lost friend which is meeting you again and then you will not like to lose it again.

Now it's time to say Bye. Buy a book and give it a try. (oh.. it rhymed.. hehehe)

Words... I Love You...

When I want to speak my heart out
You come across to help me
Thoughts, feelings, frustration, love
All you say just wonderfully
Words... I love you so much

When I'm happy you come out fast
When I'm sad you prefer to stay back
All you do I believe is true
Whenever I need you I don't lack
Words... I love you so much

However one moulds you, you don't mind
Just a little push and you make rhyme
I wonder how you do it all alone
It seems like you're perfectly honed
Words... I love you so much

It becomes difficult to find you sometimes
When I have to confess or apologize
Or just a simple thank you wish
Even when making a love proposal
Words... Still I love you so much

I liked the above picture very much. So I tried to give it a voice. I hope you understood.
Thanks for stopping by.

One Another Night

It is darkness all around

Close to one o’clock in the night

By this time

You must be in deep sleep

But for me, it’s another night

A night full of agony and melancholy

The thoughts don’t stop inside

The path is not clear outside

I spent most of my nights like this

Just thinking about the times we had

And you, you just don’t care damn it

Sometimes I think it’s over

Next moment it takes me all over

You are moving so perfectly dear

How you do, just let me hear

Stars in the sky seems to laugh at me

How they twinkle annoys me

By this time

You must be with your dreams high

And here I am, no signs of sigh

My eyes are sleepy

My mind is about to burst

And my heart, I’ve no clue about

What’s wrong with me

I was never like that

Was full of life and hope

See me now just for once

The chants of birds outside wake me up

From the sleep I haven’t had last night

It’s about to dawn I think

By this time

You must be cuddling the pillow tight

Still holding on the dreams of night

I wish you wake up the happiest way

And you just have the best this day

Let me alone be at my own

I’ll keep loving till I’m gone.

She....

When I saw her first
I thought she isn't what I seek
She isn't what I want

Times kept passing at it's pace
We came close, more close
Our days were brightened up
Our nights were lightened up
The talks we had
The walks we had
Every moment was worth living
Sitting close to her
Witnessing the beauty she carry
Not only outer but eternal
is all what I've now to cherish

Why she loved so much
I couldn't understand till now
What made her glued to me
I'm not able to discover yet

She.... What was she made of?
Love, pure love, for sure.

Then happened the unexpected
I changed the direction of my journey
She stood there wishing me good luck
I moved forward waving her good bye

Can't turn back
Even if I do, I can't see her there
Not because she is moved away
But because I've come so far
So far that I'm out of her vision

It's too late to realize
that love can fit all size
I don't deserve her I believe
for she is too good for me to achieve

She.... What was she made of?
Love, pure love, even more than that perhaps.

I Won't Mind..!!

If you wanna use me,
I won't mind.
But...
Use me properly,
Coz I don't wanna be
used again........ In love,
By anybody else
like you.
So...
Trash me completely,
When your need is over.
