Pictorial Words # 3

P.S. - Pictorial Words is a series where I post a picture taken by me after engraving some words on it. Hope you like both - the picture and the words. After all, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. For other posts of the series please click here.

A Comfortable Friend

"There was a time when we didn't even know each other, not even each other's name. And today we're so comfortable with each other that I just changed my underwear while you were facing the other side and you didn't even realize that", these were my friend's words a few days ago in our PG room.

I was shocked and surprised at the same time. I was laughing and abusing him that why he didn't ask me to leave the room so that he could change. And then next moment I realized that he was right. We were so comfortable just because we were friends. Friendship is such a wonderful thing that it makes two completely strange individuals completely known to each other. Friends know more about ourselves than our own family or even more than we know about us.

As I'm in a different city now, leaving him alone in that strange city, I'm actually missing those days. We were like a big support to each other in that alien city. Away from our homes, our families and everything, we were like much needed companions to each other.

Talking about friendship I can only say that those are lucky who have got a good friendship. Friends even less in number, if true, are the most precious gift of God. Like they say, we can't choose our family but we can surely choose our friends. But I somewhat differ on that aspect. You get good friends, like good family, if you're destined to.

And the best and surprising part is, you don't remember the time when your strangeness was transformed to friendship. You just can't recollect that moment.

P.S. - Please don't change your undergarments if your friend is in same room. It may unveil your hidden secrets because your friend may not always be looking at the other side. Or you may also lose your balance in a hurry :-)

Treat To My Followers

Here is a special treat to all my followers. Since I've started blogging, I've made very good friends here. Here are some friendship awards I've got from Bikram and now offering to all of you. So, if you're one of my followers, grab them all and take them as 'Thank You' notes. I'm really thankful to all of you for sharing beautiful relation of friendship with me.

I really wish our friendship go a long way, no matter we ever meet or not...

...If not, we never call each other stranger for we've known for so long now and will continue...

...and if we do, we meet like we've known each other since ages...

...In any case, we'll be friends forever and ever and ever, till the last breath, till the last beat, till the last moment, no matter we never meet.

And the below ones are from adreamygal. Thank you dreamy. These are also for all of you.

You're as sweet as honey...

...If only you're around, I don't need many...

...and I'm always there, whenever you need any.

Thank You Friends

It is quite obvious that everyone in this world comes alone and starts the journey of life with no companion by his side. Then after some time he realizes that he has got many people who are concerned about him. They are called family. But then again he needs people who are of his age and can accompany him in the journey of life, in the times of joys and sorrows. And those special people are called FRIENDS.

We need friends at every stage of life. From infants to old age, all need friends. We surely do. We may fight with them but we want them to share our lunch box. We may be possessive but we need them to show our toys and play with them. We may be angry but we want them to come and tease us even more.

As a kid, we play with them all day. In school, we share our pencils and notebooks. In college, we share everything from our hostel room to towels to our love stories. In office, we may not share the same chair, but we surely share the best hours of the day. When we become old, we need them to go to morning walk with us, then sit on a bench under a tree and talk about our youth while taking first cup of tea of the day.

I mean, no doubt, there are many people who are connected to us by our blood cells but friends are those rare and special people with whom we don't share our DNA but share the most beautiful and memorable moments of our life. They are the ones with whom we can truly be ourselves. We may not share some things in our family but our friends know us more than even we do.

Today, on Friendship Day, I want to grab this opportunity to thank all my friends who are part of my life and make it more memorable and worth living. I want to 'THANK YOU' all for sharing precious moments of your life with me. Without you, I'm nothing more than a lost particle of dust. Real or virtual, doesn't make a difference. Friends are friends by whatever means they are connected.

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY

The Making Of Memories

Last weekend I was on a journey with two more idiots (my friends of course). The journey where we got an opportunity to make memories for lifetime, and we did succeed. The journey was unique in its own way because we never went so crazy like this before. I mean the idiotness of 3 Idiots was on peak. I miss it a lot and hope other two idiots would also be missing it. So, here I want to share some moments of the beautiful journey with my two other companions.

The Start Up Point

The bench on the local railway station where we
rested for a while and then left it alone after
creating the beautiful memories and capturing it.

The Carriage

The train which took us to our destination.
It was our second train and we caught it running in the rain
at about 04:15 a.m. in the morning and that too without ticket
because the arrival time of first train and departure
time of second train was almost same, so we didn't have
enough time to buy the tickets.

Yummy...

The Maggi and the tea. Let me tell you that
it was the best Maggi and tea we have ever
had in our lives. Sitting at a place where we could
see water fall from the mountains and having delicious
breakfast like this is all very rare and special.

We, the Three

The meeting of our feet. It shows that we
are always together wherever we go.

Three hands of 3 Idiots

When we hold someone's hand we are
making sure that we will never leave it nor we
will let go even if the other wants to go away.

The Beauty of Nature

We never knew that moon looks that beautiful
at 02:00 a.m. in the night. Listening to the songs
with friends wrapped in the same blanket in
the cold night of mountains at the late hour.
What more can you ask from life.

They held us

The chairs where we were sitting in the
cold mountains night wrapped in the blanket.

Our Lunch

We had lunch of Coke and chips and peanuts.
Unique in itself again.

Watery Memory

Our three pairs of feet in the cold water.
The water touched and left, after creating
a beautiful watery memory.

The Milestone

It was just a stone before we turned it into milestone
with our names engraved on it. Hope it remains the
same when we visit next time there.
