Treat To My Followers

Here is a special treat to all my followers. Since I've started blogging, I've made very good friends here. Here are some friendship awards I've got from Bikram and now offering to all of you. So, if you're one of my followers, grab them all and take them as 'Thank You' notes. I'm really thankful to all of you for sharing beautiful relation of friendship with me.

I really wish our friendship go a long way, no matter we ever meet or not...

...If not, we never call each other stranger for we've known for so long now and will continue...

...and if we do, we meet like we've known each other since ages...

...In any case, we'll be friends forever and ever and ever, till the last breath, till the last beat, till the last moment, no matter we never meet.

And the below ones are from adreamygal. Thank you dreamy. These are also for all of you.

You're as sweet as honey...

...If only you're around, I don't need many...

...and I'm always there, whenever you need any.

Tagged - Yet Another Time

My Blogger friend Zave, who blogs at here and here, have tagged me where I've to disclose 3 things in each of the sections mentioned in the tag. So, here goes my take on it.

3 places I would pack my travel bag for:
- Whole of India (I really want to see my land)
- Whole of the world (I've heard that it is worth seeing)
- Little bit of space walk too

3 on screen characters I love to watch:
- Aamir Khan in the movie '3 Idiots'
- Jerry in 'Tom & Jerry'
- Jack in the movie 'Titanic'

3 moods that describe me the best:
- Talkative (when I'm with friends)
- Quiet (when I'm low)
- Serious Boy (otherwise)

3 things I always think of doing on a weekend but never did:
- Studying (except for exams)
- Waking up early
- Not to sit before my computer

3 things from my childhood that I can't forget:
- Playing the marbles with other kids of the street
- Going to school (I loved it)
- Enjoying the life as it came

3 things I would never say no to:
- Going out with my friends
- Writing
- Believing in God

3 things I can't live without:
- Money (its not everything but its needed at every step)
- Hope
- Dreams

Now I'm to tag my friends, so here I go. I tag -
- Leo

Rules for the tag are:
- Tag as many friends as you want to
- Link their pages in your tag post
- Leave a comment that they are tagged
- Mention the friend who tagged you and link his/her blog

P.S. - The event I was talking about in my earlier posts has been postponed for some days. So now I can celebrate my birthday with no tensions on my mind or at least less tensions.

My Sins Against Gender Stereotypes

Here is an interesting tag where you have to tell the things you like to or ever did which the opposite sex is supposed to do. My blogger friend Bikram has tagged me. Thank you. Here goes the tag.

If you are a woman,

Have you ever wanted something that is considered 'manly'? Like a basketball, a cell phone, a dog, a camera or a new laptop? A new car or motor bike? Ever wanted to be a pilot? A doctor or not a nurse? And the manliest want of them at all - The remote!
As a kid did you enjoy playing with a bat and a ball?
There was a time when books were considered 'manly', women authors had to pretend to be men - would you say books are still rather manly - women should want to embroider or crochet?

If you are a man,

Have you ever wanted something that only women are supposed to want - like bags, shoes, clothes, creams, perfumes, babies, flowers? A peaceful home and a happy family? Have you ever been afraid of the dark or of insects? As a kid did you ever want to play 'teacher teacher', cooking or did you like playing with a doll? Have you ever enjoyed cooking? Bought something in pink? Loved chocolates?

So, here goes my take on the tag -

1. Pink is not the color of guys as it is supposed. But I have three pink shirts (of course all are somehow different from each other). But let me tell you, I never choose my clothes. I simply can't. My Mom or brother do it for me. Lucky me.

2. I'm not a gadget freak like most of the guys of my age are.

3. I'm too good at serving the food (not at cooking, mind you). May be because I have no sister and me and my brother have to help Mom. Well, what's wrong in that?

4. I can't fly kites. Its funny but I really can't. I definitely tried it in my childhood but never succeeded so eventually I gave up thinking - 'Angoor Khatte Hain'.

5. I don't like much to roam around. Whenever I get free time I like to sit at home, sleep, read, write or just enjoy the leisure. My friends get irritated because of that.

6. As a kid, I've played more with girls than with boys. The games like 'teacher-teacher', 'doctor-doctor', 'ghar-ghar', 'stapoo' and lot more. Sometimes I smile when I think of those times.

7. At times I become so introvert and really shy. I don't know whether its a girlie thing or not but I think so.

8. I don't like to mess up my things. I mean, you'll find everything at it's right place which belongs to me. I take no time to find things I need. Guys keep your room clean OK.

9. I don't love cars and bikes and all. I mean I do use them but not crazy about them. I think these are only a means of transportation and not the things to fall in love with.

10. Please forgive me for this. I can't find more points on this.

Phew. I wasn't sure I could do it but finally I did. Now I'm tagging some of my blogger friends here. Please take it up soon guys.

Awards Time

Writing... It means a lot to me. Words are not enough to describe it's importance in my existence. It feels really nice when you are recognized. I want to thank all my followers and readers whose love and support constantly inspire me to get better every time I write. While recognition makes you happy, it also throws a sort of responsibility upon you. Thank you all.

Below are some of the awards I recently got from my fellow bloggers adreamygal and Chandana. Thank you both of you.

If I Were...

One of my dear blogger friend Leo has tagged me in his post 'If I Were', so I'm taking it up with heartiest thanks to him. Here goes my take on it :-)

If I were a month, I'd be February, for in it my parents got married and they gave me a chance to see this beautiful world.

If I were a day, I'd be Sunday with no other thought, for this is the day which I can spend in my own way.

If I were a time of the day, I'd be the early hour of the morning, for when the sun rays touch the earth and calmness fill the atmosphere, I can think more creatively than any other time of the day.

If I were a season, I'd be winters, for I love the fog falling on my face and also I don't get drenched like in rain and my Mom keeps cool :-)

If I were a planet, I'd not be one. Rather I'd be a satellite of the planet earth i.e. moon, for whenever I look up to the sky, my lips get converted into a curve to smile and it's beauty beats the stars.

If I were a direction, I'd be north, for it is always on the upper side of the map and it encourages me to move upward in life.

If I were a drink, I'd be Punjabi Lassi, for I'm a Punjabi myself and I love it so much. I had a glass full of it today :-)

If I were a flower, I'd be Lily, for it lives only for a day but spreads happiness in every way.

If I were an animal, I'd be horse, for I like the saying that a man and a horse never get old. I didn't say I wanna die young :-)

If I were a musical instrument, I'd be mouth organ, for if one wants to play me, has to kiss me :-) weird reason I guess :-)

If I were a fruit, I'd be mango, for it is my favourite in any form :-)

If I were a celebrity, I'd be none other than little master Sachin Tendulkar, for he is best in his field.

If I were a gemstone, I'd be diamond, for it is girls' best friend, hardly found and most precious too :-)

If I were a color, I'd be white, for it is the color of peace and our world need it the most.

If I were a song, I'd be 'My Heart Will Go On' of Celine Dion, for it makes me relax whenever I listen to it.

If I were a movie, I'd be '3 Idiots', for the friendship and innovative thinking it depicts.

If I were a food, I'd be Shahi Paneer made by my Mom (or even by Dad sometimes), for I love cheese :-)

If I were a piece of art, I'd be some noticeable and praiseworthy writing, for I just don't want to be any other piece of art.

If I were a body part, I'd be the eyes, for it hides all the beauties of the world.

If I were a facial expression, I'd be surprised, for there is no fun in being worldly wise and rarely surprised. Also I love surprises :-)

If you are reading this post, take yourself to be tagged. You can also use different categories if you want to. This post is also similar to one of my earlier posts 'I Wish I Were'. Have a look at this too.

Rain of Appreciation

Hey Guys

Couple of days before I came to know about a contest on one of my fellow blogger's blog. Just a simple question was to be answered about an IPL match. I tried my luck and guess what, I won it (though not by a margin, but still). So here is the REVIEW of my blog.

It always feels special when someone appreciates your efforts and it feels more special when it is the first time. It made my day, actually night (because the day was very hectic at the office). Read the reviews and you may also try your luck for the contests in the future. I'm loving it...

And thanks to my blogger friend adreamygal because of whom I came to know about the contest.

Bye for today.
