Once More

When I die,
I'll be a shooting star.
You'll make a wish,
seeing me falling afar.

And I'll get you
what you ask for,
breaking myself
for you once more.

Intuition

Sometimes I think,
if I hide myself,
would you come
to find me?
But I don't.

Because,
somewhere
deep down,
I already know
that you won't.

Moments

Some of life's
best and
worst moments
are same
and happen
by chance.

Like,
watching you sleep
and knowing
it won't last long,
neither the sleep
nor the glance.

The Wish

Between all these days
and all these nights,
my dreams turned
into nightmares
like crashing flights.

Amidst all the loss and gain,
and despite that subtle pain,
I may not show,
I may not say,
I may not express it again.

But what I felt once
holds true still,
I always wish
you to come to me
and I always will.

Sigh

Through the window I glance
at the dark midnight sky
and wonder if I could ever fly.

Far, so far and so high,
wishing everything and
everyone a final goodbye.

But what I wish may never come by,
so to the world I close my eye
and sleep through my loneliness
with dying hopes and a sigh.

Ignorance

Love is hard
like ice
and soft
like snow.

It's just that
what we see
and how much
we know.

Way Out

I wish someday you know I'm true,
and the one I need is you.

For you, it maybe too early to say,
but I know I am on my way,

Bring me your fears if you have any,
we'll find a way, there are many.

I tried to leave it and move on,
but the love was never really gone.

I  may not say it everyday but still,
I've loved you and always will.

All Well Deserved

There are things
that make me happy,
and there are things
that make me sad.

Then there are people
behind all these things,
but it doesn't make me

even a little less glad.

Perspectives

You kept on telling,
from far where you stood-
what I do can,
and what I should.

I kept on yelling,
you never understood-
what I did,
and what I could.

Silence

Tears unrolled,
Pain untold,
She thinks no one cares,
If she doesn't share.
But I can read minds,
Maybe she's unaware.
As I pack my stuff,
She keeps herself tough.
But I know her inner state,
I wish I could stay, but,
The time wouldn't wait.
I still have to depart,
Though with a heavy heart.
The journey is self chosen,
Her silence leaves me frozen.
To ask her, I couldn't dare.
All I can say is that,
Some fairwells aren't fair.

P.S. - Dedicated to all the strong mothers out there whose children have to leave their home for study/work.

If I Were Not Me

I wonder if I were not me,
What else I could be,
A flower among the thorns,
Or a quiet summer tree.
A lonely artist's brush,
Or someone's first crush.
Maybe I could be a guitar,
Or a wish granting star.
Rain shower in summer noon,
A child's amaze, a balloon.
Roaring like an ocean's tide,
A quiet tear of a new bride.
What if I be your smile,
Resting on your lips for awhile.
Or what if I be in your heart deep?
Will you mind me to forever keep?

She is Poetry

Poetry doesn't have to rhyme.
I am not perfect,
neither you nor anyone.
She is not perfect either.
But she is poetry.
And she doesn't rhyme.
But then again,
poetry doesn't have to rhyme.

A Heart With A Patch

So what it's broken and scattered,
in love it doesn't really matter.
For love is always in demand,
I'll not store it and preserve,
I'll stitch my heart and offer it
to someone else who deserves.
Let me see who tries for the catch,
a heart full of love despite a patch.

By The Window

Let us sit by the window and watch the rain,
it won't fix the heart nor it'll heal the pain.

But just bring us some leisure to think,
and maybe some tears to shed and drink.

To revisit the memories while raindrops pour,
to relive the forgotten moments once more.

I know you don't like the rain much, though,
it's worth waiting for the following rainbow.

Let us forget for a while our love or hate,
let us just sit by the window and wait -

for the rain to end,
for the wounds to mend,
for our paths to bend.

Within

Within me are the five oceans,
And within me float the seven skies,
Within me countless suns shine,
Within me moons and stars reside,
Within me are the mountains so high,
Within me are the forests so bright,
I hold the breeze within me,
I carry the storms no one can see,
Within me is whole of the creation,
And within me is the creator Himself.

Random Five Liners - 5

If I was a color,
I'd choose to be white,
graciously losing itself,
yet alone
shining bright.

***

Setting aside my fears,
someone's hand in mine,
a long walk in the rain,
yes, I am ready,
to play love again.

***

You, in my arms,
with all your charms,
your breath touches
my bare chest,
I shiver in love.

***

Lovers depart,
with heavy heart,
carrying along
a bag full of
broken promises.

***

Memories knock,
each midnight,
I weave words,
another poem
gets a shape.

By Chance

One day,
unexpectedly,
we'll collide again,
just by chance,
just like that,
maybe then you'll know,
we belong to each other,
then and now and ever.
I'll win you,
earn you,
never to spend you,
to treasure you,
forever.

Lost and Found

So the wind blew,
and thunder strokes,
made me aware of the
world around with hope.
Lost in my own wound,
I ignored the reasons,
which could spellbound.
And it was then when I
moved around my eye,
that I found my pain looks
as tiny as a star in the sky.
And I realized,
I was worrying in vain,
In that very moment,
I found myself again.

April

In the middle of winter and summer,
Is a month with soothing glimmer,
Eliot says it's the cruelest of all,
But hope still lingers though small,
Seeing it coming my heart thrives,
I open my arms wide as April arrives.

P.S. - T. S. Eliot was a famous poet who wrote the poem "The Waste Land", the first line of which says,"April is the cruelest month".

Soul's Call

I do not really do,
What they think I do,
I'm just a means,
But in fact it's You.
Through me You love,
Through me You write,
Through me it's done,
You remain out of sight.
I do not deserve,
Your gracious blessing,
I'm a sinful soul,
In torn dressing.
What more do I say,
What more do I write,
My soul lost itself,
When it found You beside.
O Merciful!
Listen to my soul's call,
Into the world so mean,
Do not let it again fall,
Do not let it again fall.
