Wish

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 12; the twelfth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

I did wish a wish
and was promptly granted,
it was only you,
who I've ever wanted.

I loved and I cared,
for you, everything I did,
you didn't let me down,
you pampered like a kid.

The love was in the air,
the love was on it's peak,
as if we'd got everything,
anything else, we didn't seek.

From the heights of love,
we suddenly fell down,
we reached at it's peak,
now we were on ground.

This time I wished again,
this time you also did,
this time we wished together,
that our love be saved a bit.

Passing days in our thoughts,
spending nights without sleep,
is all we have to bear now,
is the treasure we have to keep.

I wish I hadn't wished,
I wish it hadn't been granted,
no matter I never got you,
no matter you ever remained wanted.

Dear Deepak,
Good Evening!
Simple lines expressed the theme very well.
Next time wish looking at the falling star, hands folded, chanting a prayer!
Life is a sum of additions and subtractions;don;t worry!
Keep dreaming and worth live a life to attain the dream.:)
The wish will be fulfilled.
Happy FIFA finals,
Sasneham,
Anu

I owe you a big thanks for this verse.
Its like exactly what I'm feeling right now!
Seriously, its like you've put down my thoughts in writing, which even I was scared to write.
And need I say, you've touched my heart?

Deepak said...

@ vishal: thanku :)

@ surbhi: thanks a lot :-)

@ geeta: thanks to you too :)

@ anupama: well, i don't believe in the falling stars but yes, I do believe in the prayer. Thanks for such a caring suggestion :-)

@ zave: yaar, don't be too formal. I said or u said or someone else said doesn't make a difference. I'm glad that I touched ur heart through my writing. Winning a contest is never my motive but winning my readers' hearts is. thanks a lot :)

Innocent is the first word that came to my mind after reading your lovely poem.

Hey,
This is Anandita. A first time visitor on your site. and hopefully here to stay.
You have a nice blog out here. You appeared on my Google Readers list and thats how i chanced upon your site. And also the other thing that brought me here was to reassure myself that CAs too have a life outside work and can write beautifully. (Me being in my final yr CA)
