"Pay the rent or leave this space", his landlord ordered him, "I'm going to my native place to donate some silver statues for the temple. Make your mind before I return."

"OK", he couldn't speak more. Perhaps statues are more precious than living beings, he thought, or maybe God is nothing more than a statue.

P.S. - Well, I tried to speak from the heart of a poor tenant in this 55 fiction but I personally believe and have immense faith in God. He knows what we deserve and He knows how and when we'll get it. He has His own ways. Have Faith.

5 After Thoughts:

At some point of life, we do feel like that.
Afterall, how could God, so powerful, the omnipresent and the almighty be summoned to a statue?

But yes, he just might, that is why He's God.

Nice read.

yes i agree...God is one thing that for me defies all explanations..we have immense faith in him or on that statue, believing that, that statue has more life than the entire universe...

I liked your 55 fiction...small yet powerful..

@ blasphemous: Only God knows his ways. We can only hope :) thanks for the read.

@ tweety: Actually statue is only a means to keep us reminding that God exists. We should not forget Him and should trust Him. After all, He has His own different ways :)
